Story of Success: South Africa

In 2004 the A24 Group expanded its medical staffing services to South Africa and now operates one of the most successful, service-driven groups in the industry.

In October 2004 A24 Group launched an £11 million, three-year investment plan to develop a new South African headquarters, based from 130,000 sq ft freehold premises it acquired in Cape Town. This was followed in May 2007 by the purchase of the seven-storey building, 50 on Long, situated on Long Street in the busy CBD district of Cape Town.

The investment programme included the acquisition of Nursing Services of South Africa - the second largest provider of temporary nursing personnel in the country, supplying over 3,000 staff each month.

Nursing Services of South Africa – now based in Long Street – was established in 1943, supplying nursing staff to public and private healthcare providers.
