What is Basic Life Support Training?
Basic life support training (BLS) is so much more than CPR. With our reputable course provider, you will be given training on identifying potentially life-threatening emergencies, and how to act appropriately to help your patient.
In addition to being given practical tips on providing high-quality chest compressions, you will also be given in-depth training on using AEDs or otherwise known as Automated External Defibrillators. Which are used in cases where patients have suffered from sudden cardiac arrest.
What does BLS Training Include?
The course our reputable training partners have on offer is accredited internationally. With the guidance and coaching of experienced nursing facilitators and medical professionals, you will be given clear and concise training on:
The correct and most effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) practices for infants, children and adults
You will be trained on the chain of survival, specifically focused on the BLS components
The use and maintenance of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices
Effective ventilations using barrier devices
Multi-rescue, and how teams assist each over during an emergency
Relief of choking, with training on how to relieve object obstruction in the patients' airways
This course will gain you an internationally-recognised certification, which will open numerous opportunities for you as an agency nurse
