The revalidation process helps you to continually develop and reflect on your practice. The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) have finalized the revalidation process for nurses and midwives to remain on the register. Revalidation is the process that all nurses and midwives in the UK and nursing associates in England need to follow to maintain their registration with the NMC.

What are the requirements to Re-validate your NMC Registration?

Every 3 years, registered nurses, nursing associates, and midwives need to provide the below items. This is to prove that they are working as prescribed by the NMC while maintaining a high standard of practice. Below are the requirements, for which you need to provide proof for the NMC to revalidate your registration:

NMC Registration Revalidation Process Explained

"Revalidation is about promoting good practice, as well as strengthening public confidence in the nursing and midwifery professions. It’s important to know that it’s not about making an assessment of your fitness to practice.

Revalidation helps to encourage a culture of sharing, reflection, and improvement. It will provide benefits for you as a nurse, midwife or nursing associate as well as the people you care for.” - NMC.

As an integral part of our organization, we would like to clarify and remind you of your obligation as a registered healthcare professional to ensure that your registration remains active.

Remember that this process is to showcase your ethics, character, and dedication to the evolution of your nursing career, so while the list is a bit daunting, they all serve a very important purpose within the Revalidation process, and with the A24Group support, gathering these documents, and applying is simplified.

You will be required to revalidate every 3 years, and the process will remain consistent:

Contact our departments according to the above requirements, and once you have gathered your documents, please visit the NMC website to understand the revalidation requirements and how you can meet them.

You can then proceed to apply online via the below link:

How can we help you?

A sample of nurses and midwives will be selected at random to verify the declaration they have made, and they will have to provide evidence according to the above mentioned required items.

We are assisting agency staff with appraisals, which can be used as part of your portfolio to submit for Revalidation

Use the feedback forms provided, which you can take to clients you are working for the agency, in order to get practice-related feedback. You can then send this back to us and we will load this onto your agency profile for safekeeping.

Ensure all evidence of client feedback is verifiable with either a stamp, letterhead or complimentary slip.
